Ridiculously Easy Peach Cobbler

This recipe was taught to all of us sisters by Kristi. When I was living in Provo with a few roommates, I would make this on Sunday evenings and invite people over for peach cobbler at our apartment. It made for fun evening gatherings as single friends. It is a fun recipe for all gatherings.

Ingredients:

Peaches (fresh or canned)
Yellow Cake Mix (1 box)
Butter (1 cube)

Directions:

Okay, the amounts of this recipe is just according to how much you want to make. I will tell the amounts to use for a 9x13 pan. First, preheat the oven to 350*. I spray the pan only because I want to be safe that it won't stick. Cover the bottom of the pain with peach slices, however deep you want. Then take the DRY cake mix and sprinkle it (DRY) evenly over the top of the peaches. Then melt the cube of butter and pour it as evenly as possible over the top of the cake mix.
Bake it at 350* for 20 to 30 minutes. Watch closely though, because when the top is browned, and the syrup it bubbling, it is DONE.

Serve HOT, with vanilla ice cream and enjoy this deliciousness.

That sounds so yummy. I wish I had a warm bowl with a scoop of vanilla ice cream right now. Thanks Les.

I love this. I got the recipe from the Armstrong Mansion. That was where we stayed after our wedding. In the morning they served this with whipped cream at their breakfast. For the rest of our honeymoon we craved it and looked for it everywhere. Finally, settled in at our tiny apartment in Salt Lake, months later, I called up the Armstrong Mansion and asked for the recipe. The lady I talked to seemed embarrassed by how easy it was. Needless to say, we made it that night for dessert.

I love your blog! This will be made tonight in my kitchen. One question...Do you drain the peaches first if they are canned or bottled?
