Spicy Orange Candied Pecans

These are wonderful added to a salad or just popped in your mouth for a flavorful bite. The ground red pepper gives them just a bit of kick, but isn't too spicy for you with tender tastebuds. When my brother tasted them he said they could be sold at the market or the fair. Make up a bunch and enjoy them however you want.

1 cup pecans
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon orange juice concentrate
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper

Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Line a jellyroll pan with foil and spray with nonstick spray.

Combine sugar, butter, orange juice concentrate, cinnamon and red pepper in a small saucepan and cook to boiling. Boil for 1 minute. Add pecans and coat well. Spread evenly on prepared jellyroll pan and bake for one hour stirring every 15 minutes. Cool completely and store in air-tight container.
