Once I found this recipe for sloppy joes, I've never made any other. Until I found a tad bit different version of the same recipe. So they are both here. They come from a past neighbor and a good friends Mom. One has more of a vinegar taste and the other more of a chili powder taste....for obvious reasons. You can't go wrong with either one. Next time I make it, I am going to try the second recipe but with vinegar and no chili powder. The reason for the corn, fries, and fry sauce pics along with the joe, well the corn came from
here and is our favorite way to eat corn...thanks Suzy. The sauce is mayo, ketchup, and Famous Dave's Sweet and Savory BBQ sauce all mixed together and was amazing...thanks Lori. And the french fries are worth mentioning because they are just frozen french fries with Salad Supreme sprinkled on them. Have you ever used Salad Supreme? It is sooo good. It is great in salads, on fries, and on homemade breadsticks or rolls. Give it a try.
Ingredients:
1 lb. browned hamburger (or more)
onion
1 can Chicken Gumbo Soup (drained)
1 c. Ketchup
1-2 Tsp. Mustard
1 T. Vinegar (I use apple cider vinegar)
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 T. Worcestershire Sauce
Directions:
The ingredients don't have to be exact. Just mix until it tastes right to you. ( A past neighbor of mine, Brenda, suggested I replace apple cider vinegar in almost anything that calls for vinegar. Such as in sweet and sour sauces, etc. I tried it and I love it.)
2nd Joe recipe

1 1/2 tsp. brown sugar
3 tsp. mustard
