Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie

This is a favorite during the holidays and every once in awhile on a special occasion throughout the year. It is rich and chocolatey and delicious. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and you'll think you're in heaven.

1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie shell (I prefer Marie Callendar’s)
2 large eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup (6 oz.) Nestle Semi-Sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (I prefer walnuts)

Preheat oven to 325° F.

Beat eggs in large mixer bowl on high speed until foamy. Beat in granulated sugar and brown sugar. Beat in butter. Add flour. Stir in morsels and nuts. Spoon into pie shell.

Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between edge and center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Now that is a pie I could have some enthusiasm about! I am not much of a pie fan, but I am quite the cookie advocate. Yum!

I always know it is Thanksgiving or Christmas because Karey breaks out the cookie pie. It is so good. Can't wait.
