Homemade Spaghetti Sauce


Ingredients:


1 lb (or less) ground beef (or sausage)
1 quart (28-32 oz canned) tomatoes
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
1 can (8 oz) tomato paste
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp parsley
2 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
1 Tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp garlic powder (or 1 1/2 tsp crushed, real garlic)

Directions:

Brown meat. Drain grease. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes. Cook pasta according to package directions. Serve. Yum.

Sounds awesome. I can't wait to try this. I grew up on homemade spaghetti sauce and it was always a little of this, little of that, stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce and paste and it was so yummy. I haven't done it in a while and I'm excited to try this version. Thanks for sharing.
And it would be great with that corn you posted. That stuff is awesome and a favorite at our house!

Nothing like homemade spaghetti sauce, I make mine from scratch every summer when tomatoes are in season, my house smells wonderful when I make it. MMMM, can have some right now.

I make mine from scratch too but have never made it consistently from a recipe. I want to try yours so I can make the same sauce more than once:).
