GIVEAWAY, GIVEAWAY, GIVEAWAY!

Do you realize how cute you'd look in this apron? Then win it.

Well Valentine's Day is just around the corner. Valentine's Day is all about LOVE. So we wanted to share some love with you and inspire you to share some love with someone else in the process! Voila! Our first giveaway. We're having tons of fun cooking, baking, and meeting some neat folks through this blog. We're loving our little recipe society and we hope you are too!! So without further adieu, I bring you Stellamerle.

Karey has been designing & sewing professionally for years. She traded her professional sewing and dressmaking in for creative freedom and has had so much fun with it! She loves to stock her shop with new designs and pays particular attention to quality and detail. She has the coolest and most unique stuff, including my personal favorites- where she incorporates vintage linens and pieces into the design. Most of the pieces that I had my eye on have been snatched up, but how lucky are we to be giving away one of her designs?!! Let's hear it for creative & generous people!!

...And, what else could it be but an apron? Of course!! Not just any apron...my favorite apron that she has done so far. The Farmer's Daughter Apron (Retail price is $39). And reversible too?

Love that.

From Stellamerle's Shop:

My Farmer's Daughter line features beautiful fabrics, laces, trims, pockets and nice long ties.

While a few of the items I've used are new, most have been upcycled from vintage, estate sale finds. I love rescuing a beautiful corner of a stained tablecloth, a doily that someone's grandmother made, lace that once trimmed a pillowcase, old sheets and pillowcases...and creating something new with it.

This apron is reversible. Both sides feature a roomy pocket. Each piece contains a great mix of old and new. Because of the origin of the items, there are occasionally minor imperfections, but this just adds to the charm.

Each apron wrap is at least 40 inches wide by 20 inches long with two 40 inch ties.

Each is one-of-a-kind. Great for yourself or for giving. You'll love your wrap!

I could use an apron. Any apron! I've grown very tired of getting cooking stains off of my clothes. This one is adorable!
I've been looking forward to making a new indian curry dish. I love my standard one (that I can let cook all day in my slow cooker) but I'm looking to find an aloo mutter equivalent (that can also be done in the slow cooker) because I think my daughter would like it better than my standard curry.

I think I also did something nice today (might have saved some lives as well). I helped my dad out in the kitchen, he offered to cook for me and my sister but he's pretty clueless when it comes down to cooking, so it was very hard to make sure he didn't burn the place down :P
