Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies with Orange Glaze

Ingredients:

3/4 cup butter or margarine
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
16 oz canned pumpkin
2 cups sugar
3 3/4 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger (I omitted this one)
2 teaspoons nutmeg
2 cups chocolate chips (I used large milk chocolate chips)

Directions:

Cream butter, vanilla, eggs, sugar. Add Pumpkin. Stir in all dry. Finally chocolate chips. Bake on greased cookie sheet! Bake 10 minutes 375 degrees. Glaze while still warm.

Glaze:

4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 Tablespoons orange juice
zest of one small orange
powdered sugar
milk (to desired consistency)

*The glaze recipe was adapted by me from two different recipes. If you aren't a fan of the 'orange' idea, simply leave the orange ingredients out!

Yum.
I have pumpkin sitting in my fridge waiting for me to put it to good use. Here we go.

okay, I made them and I am loving them. With that orange glaze they are so interesting - chocolate, orange, pumkin - who would have thought it would make such a good combination. I need give half of them away or I could do some serious damage.
